You've Got Mail I'm the first to admit that I loved this movie, despite the bad press, the disapproving looks, and the constant AOL product placement throughout. Of course, this movie will be very dated (actually it already is), but it still has the central Ephron theme: two beautiful people meet and fall in love. It's enough to make you cry. (Oh, I mean...)

Hanks plays Joe Fox (hmmm. Joe? Kinda like in Joe Versus the Volcano?), a discount book-store magnate who moves into the neighborhood where Kathleen Kelly (Meg Ryan) has her 41-year old children's bookstore (my dream come true). Naturally the big, bad bookstore threatens to hurt the business of the independent bookstore (what did I just say about dating itself?) and the two owners are antagonistic to each other in their bookstore war. Aha, but there's a twist: what each doesn't know is that they are the very same people who have been e-mailing each other all this time. The formula goes on from there.

Okay, the story is really weak, Ephron is dependent on the pairing of Hanks and Ryan again, and the premise is cheesy at best. Still, it's pure Ephron, and what can I say except that romantic comedy and pure fantasy wins me over every time.

Now I'm off to an Internet chat room, because if the people in there look anything like Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan, what have I got to lose?
