Not a bad movie. A Time to Kill takes place in Mississippi where a black father kills 2 redneck white boys for beating up and raping his 9 year old daughter. He goes to court and is found... (can't tell, that would spoil it!).  It is pretty much one of those dramatic court type of movies since there is a little bit of action, but mostly serious court talk. It is pretty typical of this kind of movie and nothing really different or special happens to really make it stand out from other films like it.

I have now come to the conclusion that if Ashley Judd has blond hair in a movie, she is just playing the helpless non ass-kicking wife of the movie hero (in this case the main lawyer in the movie). She takes off to mom's house when KKK crosses started burning in the yard. The husband/hero/lawyer has to restrain himself from messing around with Sandra Bullock who played his lawyer intern (who seemed to be a lot smarter then he was!). I guess they filmed the movie in Mississippi during the summer since everyone in the movie looked like they were suffering from high heat and humidity all the time. Or were they just all sweaty for more dramatic effect?

Overall, a pretty decent movie.  There could have been a little more action, but it did keep my attention all the way through—and we all know how my attention span is!
