WALL aka Pink Floyd: The Wall |
1982

I would have given it another slice of pie, but I was a little confused by the plot (where have you heard that from me before?). For being a movie from 1982, the sound was great! Dolby Digital 5.1 with the subwoofer on and surround-sound speakers... excellent! (Full pie rating for sound!). My interpretation of the plot: Bob Geldof plays 'Pink', whom I figure was a burned-out rock star who lost his wife to another guy. He slowly goes insane and has flashbacks to WWII when he was a kid running around and... uh... I don't know! He then shaves off his eyebrows and becomes some kind of Hitler person. Then there is animation, a trial at the end, and the wall blows up. The DVD has more extra features than I have ever seen on a DVD, they just keep going and going! |
