Ok, you take Of Mice and Men and mix it with Iron Giant and you get The Mighty. No, that isn't a bad thing! I would put this movie in a category of NICE movies that would be good for the whole family. No swearing, some slight violence, funny parts, and SCULLY (Oh... I mean Gillian Anderson)!

The movie is about a kid who is kind of dumb and large for his age. His father is in prison, and he is living with his grandparents who look very much like the couple in that famous painting (I forget the name, but it is that sour looking couple with the pitchfork!). He is constantly picked on in school for being a big, dorky-looking quiet kid. He gets a new neighbor "Freak" who is a crippled kid who is very smart. Put them together and they make a big smart kid who can easily kick the asses of the bullies that are always chasing them around. See the movie to find out what happens.

Sharon Stone plays the crippled kid's mother, and Gillian Anderson is the trailer-trash wife of a friend of the big kid's father. Kind of funny to see Gillian playing a drunk, sloppy, and very un-Scully-like role.  She doesn't have a large part in the movie, so if you are a Scully fan, don't expect a whole lot!
