This was kind of a strange and creepy movie. I would classify this film as a "disaster movie," but viewed from a different angle... focusing on the aftermath. There is a pretty bad plane crash scene (near the end of the movie instead of the beginning) that was very effective, well done, and frightening. However, one of the most frightening parts of the movie was seeing the bastard lawyer trying to make the plane crash victims lie about what they saw so they (and he) would get more money out of the lawsuit. That guy was very slimy and irritating. He also seemed to show up in the hospital before the victims were even checked in. One thing that I found interesting in the movie was the almost total lack of a music soundtrack. There were a few spooky noises now and then, but no music anywhere. They did play a little snip of U2 at one scene, but that was about it. I can't really compare this one with any other movie I have seen... I haven't seen any like this before. Pretty good, but I just felt like there was something missing, though I am not sure what. |
