Nicolas Cage plays a burned-out paramedic in the bad neighborhoods of New York. I guess sometime in the past he felt guilty about the death of some teenager whom he couldn't save, and she shows up as a ghost all over the place. I always hear people saying that in bad movies you never really get to know the characters, and they seem "cardboard".  In my new-found skills as a movie critic, I think I am starting to understand that now. This movie has cardboard characters!

It was sort of a comedy in some places and serious in others. There wasn't much of a plot except that Cage's character is burned-out after 5 years of not saving enough people, he sees ghosts, drinks while on the job, and tries repeatedly to get fired from his job. I just can't say much about this movie, so I'll just end the review right here.
