In May and June, we had the Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF) 2000 in town, and Linda, the unemployed slacker, managed to catch a whole bunch of flicks. Though SIFF screens somewhere around 250 films, Linda acheived a personal best and saw 15 movies in less than two weeks this year (a girl's gotta take a vacation!).  

As always, film fests are a hit and miss affair. But quite often the better films end up released in the theaters... or better yet, eventually make it to video. So keep an eye out!
