I really want to find an Icelandic movie that I'm excited about, but this one ain't it. Stuffy costume drama taking place in the late 1800s (I guess)... Two adult sisters who just don't get along backstab each other, sabotage each other's happiness, etc. A bit typical and unsurprising. Nice scenery though.

This film was Iceland's official submission for the Oscar for Best Foreign Film (though it did not get a nomination).
