John (Jonathan Wade-Drahos) is a Mid-Western cop who, after being “outed” on the job, moves to Los Angeles to live an openly gay life. Having brought some of his semi-conservative views with him, he takes notice of the fast pace of such a life and the blatant chemical abuse that is associated with being a “Circuit Boy”. He resists these temptations as long as he can, but ultimately gets swept away in the flood of self-indulgence and stumbles into the decadent lifestyle of the “Circuit Party” world. It’s a trip that John will not soon forget and hopefully he comes out alive and in one piece… There are many characters in this film that add color and depth. Hector (Andre Khabbazi), is a veteran hustler and drug dealer who exposes John to the dark side. Tad (Daniel Kucan) is John’s cousin who persuaded John to move to LA. He’s a filmmaker who is making a documentary about the circuit life. Bobby (Paul “Boom, Boom, Boom, Let’s go back to my room” Lekakis) is the king of circuit party strippers. He is caught up in the need to be on top and living with HIV. Gill (Brian Lane Green) is the level-headed friend who is always trying to get John to clean up and fly straightso to speak. Then there's Gino (William “The Greatest American Hero” Katt), the totally corrupt club owner whose only motivation is the great dollar. He is a perfectly despicable guy, but he adds to the underbelly of the story. This is an interesting glimpse into another way of life. For an independent film, Circuit has a pretty high production value. I’m sure it’s going to get distribution. If you see it listed, some of you would like this one. |
